"Nothing ever built arose to touch the skies unless
someone dreamed that it should,
believed that it could, and willed that it must."”
Florida International University is honored to recognize the extraordinary philanthropy of
those individuals and organizations who are the University' s most generous benefactors.

with FIU since the
University's first day of classes. On September 14, 1972,
the Torch of Knowledge, a landmark of the University Park
campus, was dedicated. This traditional symbol of learning
inspired the name of The Torch Society, which honors FIU's
most loyal and generous
benefactors.
