This Macroeconomics course is designed to help participants develop skill in understanding the operation of the U.S. economy and the effects of government policies and other influences on the economy. Attention is given to the determination of national income and employment, and policies for maintaining high levels of income and employment without inflation. The course stresses the interrelations among monetary policy, fiscal policy, inflation, interest rates, employment, consumption, saving, investment, economic activity in the rest of the world, and economic activity in the U.S.
