DEPARTMENTAL SEMINARS

David Iwaniec (Major Advisor: Dan Childers) will defend his Master’s Thesis entitled “Regulation and organization of peripyton from the Florida Everglades, U.S.A.” on 26 June 2008 at 3:00 pm in WC 130.

Clayton Williams (Major Advisor: Frank Jochem) will defend his Doctoral Dissertation entitled “Relative significance of pelagic, benthic, and allochthonous organic matter to microbial carbon cycling in a phosphorus-depleted subtropical estuary (Florida Bay)” on 27 June 2008 at 1:00 pm in HLSII-190.

GRANTS

PRESENTATIONS

Rudolf von May (Major Advisor: Maureen Donnelly) presented a co-authored oral paper at the annual meeting of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation held in Paramaribo, Suriname, 9-13 June 2008: von May, R., J.M. Jacobs, and M.A. Donnelly. Patterns of amphibian diversity across forest types in four Amazonian sites in southeastern Peru.

FORMER STUDENTS
