Florida Documents Claims Procedures
- Claim only items listed on the white pages of the list, the green pages are listings for which
we were only able to obtain copies for the State Library.
- All claims for missing items must be postmarked within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt
of the shipment.
- When filing a Claim:
- Copy the page or pages from Florida Public Documents list containing the missing
item/items.
- Circle the item/items that were missing from that shipment.
- Include the list number and the date of the shipping list with any claims.
- Return all claims to the Documents Section, State Library of Florida. Please
enclose a self-addressed label.
- Please keep in mind that we may not be able to fill all claims, due to exhausted copies.
When we can, we will be happy to photocopy our document in lieu of the original, if it is
not too lengthy. You may also request documents through ILL from the white or green
pages. If we are unable to fill your request, we will indicate this on your shipping list
when we return it to you.
