CITC-V was held in Istanbul, Turkey during May 20-22, 2009. 175 participants from 34 different countries have attended the conference and 215 papers were published in the conference proceedings. The conference provided an excellent forum for discussing diverse issues facing the construction industry at the beginning of this century. The conference had a broad scope and covered widely ranging topics. Topics were organized around the following themes:
