Dr. Ellen G. Cohn (aka
“Dr. Pepsi”) is an Associate
Professor in the Department of Criminal
Justice at Florida International University
and an affiliated faculty member in the Women’s Studies Center.
She received a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in criminology from the Dr.
Cohn has published in a wide variety of criminology and psychology journals,
including Criminology, Journal of Criminal Justice, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology,
British Journal of Criminology,
Environment and Behavior, and Crime
and Justice. Her book on citation analysis, Evaluating Criminology and Criminal Justice
was published by the Greenwood Publishing Group and is considered the leading
work on the subject. Dr.
Cohn currently serves as a reviewer for journals in both criminology and
psychology as well as serving on several local and national boards. She is a member of the Steering Committee
of the Miami-Dade Police Department's Citizen Volunteer Program, which saves
the department hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. She is also a member of the Board of
Directors of Youth Crime Watch of
America and has served as both President and Chair of the Board. In addition, Dr. Cohn serves as a member of
the Board of Directors of Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers. |
