Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is a waste with properties that make it potentially harmful or dangerous to human health or the environment. Hazardous wastes can be solids, liquids, gases, or sludges. They can be derived from manufacturing processes or simply discarded commercial products such as cleaning fluids or pesticides.

A hazardous waste exhibits any of these four characteristics: ignitibility, corrosivity, toxicity, and reactivity.
