Storage Tank Management

Management of the storage tanks is an essential component to the environmental compliance program.  These tanks are vital to FIU as they provide a means to store petroleum fuel and propane gas for general campus operations.

Along with the usage of these tanks comes the responsibility of maintaining the tanks and protecting the surrounding environment.  The storage tank program consists of acquiring the appropriate permits, complying with permit requirements, and performing visual inspections of the tanks and the surrounding environment.
