HAVANA, December 13 (Migdalia Rosado, Tamarindo 34 Derechos Humanos) - Dissident Ángel Moya was sentenced to one year in jail and ten in exile away from Havana, in the province of Matanzas.
Moya was tried December 12 by the Popular Municipal Tribunal in Arroyo Naranjo, in the city of Havana, for "disrespect". He had been arrested December 4 as he attempted to participate in a mass for St. Barbara.
Moyas wife and minor children live in Havana. Yet, when Moya is freed a year from now, he will have to remain in Matanzas province to serve his ten year exile.
