Three Members of the Opposition in Santa Clara Hospitalized While They Continue Hunger Strike

Ileana Peñalver Duque (26), Lilian Meneses (45) and José Antonio Alvarado (34) were hospitalized due to the precarious situation they find themselves in after nearly 80 days on a prolonged hunger strike.

Daula Carpio Matas (33), confined in the Guamajal Women's prison since the 16th of December, finds herself in the infirmary of said prison with strong decalcification and problems with her joints.

Iván Lema Romero (35), who was translated to the Manacas prison in Villa Clara, presents a portrait of Peripheral Neuropathology and also finds himself in the infirmary of theabove named prison.

José Manuel Yera Benítez (41), finds himself in a punishment cell in Las Grimas prison.
