Class Organization and Rules

Typical components of a meeting are:

  1. Lecture presentation of selected problems
  2. Student presentations of practice problems
  3. Discussion of specific requests
  4. In-class practice
Depending on the size of the class different emphasis will be given to the above items. For larger classes only Item 1 may be feasible.
Please read the
guidelines on how to approach problem solving.
Your
grade will be determined by attendance. A sign-up sheet entry for each meeting is required.

Each student  is encouraged to make a presentation of a problem solution at least once during the course.
The topic of the problem shall be current, selected by the student, but must be preapproved by the instructor. A presentation shall be worth the attendance of one meeting, with a limit of two.
