I joined the Public Administration faculty at Florida International University in August 2004. My research mainly deals with the role of institutions in the urban context, particularly with respect to housing, community development, and information technology.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Planning from the University of Southern California in 2003. Besides FIU, I have taught at California State University, Northridge; California Polytechnic State University, Pomona; University of Southern California; and Manipal Institute of Technology (India). I was the Assistant Director of the Center for International Policy, Planning, and Development (CIPPAD) at the University of Southern California.
