COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The goal of this course is to give the student an understanding of
how statistics can fit in the industry and management
sciences. The course will focus on both concepts
and techniques with emphasis on applications. We
will cover selected sections from the first seven chapters of
the book. For a detailed syllabus, please look up http://www.fiu.edu/~statdept.
We will be using MyStatLab (COURSE ID: gulati11046) to do the exercises
and some
quizzes. You will get instructions
on
logging on on the first day of class.
MAKEUP'S: will be given only under extreme circumstances
(illness- yours or a family member's, or an unforseeable emergency
count as extreme circumstances).Contact the
instructor in advance if you think that a situation deserves a make up.
