History of Ideas
Spring 2007/
Harvey & Fantina
RESPONSE#5 TOPIC:
As done earlier, send your response to three
students--you can send them to the same students you sent
your previous responses to, or you can choose them at random from the
class WebCT email list.
Option 1: Explain
how your understanding of Darwinian evolutionary theory has changed or
been enhanced by reading Darwin's actual book: that is, how has your
reading modified your ideas about Darwin and evolutionary theory
learned from previous high-school classes, other college classes, or
perhaps religious studies? Your response should indicate that you
understand Darwin's theory.
Option 2: On page 43 of our edition, Darwin says that "We behold the
face of nature bright with gladness..." Respond to this passage.
Your response should indicate that you understand Darwin's theory.
