FIU Herpetology Club: Minutes of April, 2005

6 April

1.   Reviewed Matt’s paper on Gonatodes.  If he publishes it, he will get 2 grand from UMEB.  It looked very publishable to us.

7 April

Campus-wide event: Herp Club Film Night.  We showed a documentary, “Cane  Toads”, and a Ren and Stimpy short on evolution.  Thanks to Kia for organizing the event and making chocolate cake. Download the flyer here

11 April

Campus-wide event: Herp Club Speaker.  Nicole Thurgate from University of New Orleans gave a talk on her work with the endangered gopher frog (Rana sevosa).  Thanks to Steven for organizing the event.

13 April

1.   Matt practiced his UMEB presentation describing a new species of Gonatodes.  It was an impressively well-organized and interesting talk and we told him so.

20 April
