FIU Herpetology Club: Minutes of February, 2002

FIU Herpetology Club Minutes
January, 2002

The FIU herpetology club sponsored our first seminar on 6 February, 2002. Dr.
Michael Harvey of East Tennessee State University gave a talk on phylogenetic
relationships among tropidurid lizards. We hope to invite other seminar
speakers to FIU on a semi-regular basis.

On 22-24 February we sponsored our first field trip to Myakka State Park.
Although the weather was a bit cold and damp, we managed to find a few herps and
everyone agreed that the trip was a success. Present were Mo Donnelly, Cristina
Ugarte, Kevin Whelan, Alessandro Catenazzi, Ralph Saporito, Kirsten Hines,
Emilie Verdon, Josh Voss, James Watling, Robin Gray, and Raoul Urquelles.
