7 October

1. Reviewed Kristen’s poster for EPA meeting.

2. Discussed herp film fest and camping trip.

14 October

1. Special guest: Lily Rodriguez from CIMA

2. Planned Halloween herp film fest – showing films “Reptilicus” and “Lake Placid” – campus-wide event – Steven will make fliers – drinks and popcorn available Download the flyer here

3. Reviewed paper submitted to Herpetological Review, concluded that it was unpublishable subjective storytelling.

4. Discussed tenure and promotion process

5. Planned turtle-trapping project, to begin next week.

21 October

1. Reviewed Kia’s and Rudolph’s review papers for IBR.

26 October

1. Started a turtle-monitoring project on campus – spent the afternoon netting turtles in the OE pond, identifying, measuring, and marking them. Pictures from a memorable trapping day here
