The
International Media Center is a not-for-profit research
and education center established by the School
of Journalism and Mass Communication at Florida
International University in Miami. The center operates
international programs designed to strengthen professional
communication media in Latin America and elsewhere.
The
Center operated the Latin American
Journalism Program (LAJP), a 10-year project funded
by the U.S. Agency for International Development through
a cooperative agreement with Florida International University.
As part of that project the IMC established the Centro
Latinoamericano de Periodismo, or Latin American Journalism
Center, in Panama City, Panama.
The center has a long record of notable achievements.
The Center has many services
available to news organizations around the world. These
include high level training in your newsroom as well
as popular seminars and workshops on topics ranging
from computer-assisted reporting to digital photography.
