Ann Reeder Goraczko

Ann Reeder Goraczko, M.S.Ed., has 18 years of administrative experience at Florida International University. She has served in the capacity of Field Director of the Institute for Public Opinion Research since December, 1996, and has supervised surveys including the FIU/Florida Poll, an annual, statewide, random sample interview of 1,200 respondents, in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999; the 1997 Cuba Poll, a random sample survey of 1,200 respondents of Cuban descent in Miami-Dade County, Florida; the Kids Campaign Against Tobacco Pilot Program Statewide Teacher and Administrator Survey of Middle and High Schools, which involved interviewing and payment of 1,120 participants throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties during Spring, 1998; a random sample survey of 1,200 households in South Florida regarding hurricane mitigation during Summer, 1998; a random sample survey of 1,200 households in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties regarding evacuation before Hurricane Georges during Feb./March, 1999; and the Evaluation of Tobacco Pilot Program: A Cohort Study of Florida Youth with the University of Miami Office of Tobacco Control, surveying 1,200 Florida youths in 4th through 7th grades. In July 1999, she supervised a random sample survey of 1,500 households throughout the State of Florida regarding hurricane mitigation. Smaller surveys under her supervision included a qualitative study of Worker’s Compensation recipients in conjunction with Boston University, several surveys regarding Hurricane Evacuation Decision Making, an annexation survey for the City of North Miami, a follow-up study on substance abuse treatment programs for the State of Florida, and a survey regarding the possible restoration of the North Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
