SUZANNA ROSE, Ph.D.
Director, Women's Studies Center
Professor of Psychology

Suzanna Rose is Director of the Women's Studies Center and Professor of Psychology at FIU.  She received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979 and was a faculty member and Director of Women's Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis before coming to FIU in 2000. Her reseach focuses on how gender, sexual orientation, and race affect personal relationships. Recently she has been investigating the psychological effects of homophobic hate crimes and same-sex domestic violence.
