Dr. Kakar's  primary  research   interests are:

 

  • Juvenile Delinquency and Deviance including drug and Substance Abuse: Causes and Prevention
     

 
  • Violence in Families - Child Abuse, Spouse Abuse, and Elderly Abuse
     

 
  • Violence in Schools and its correlates.
     

 
  • Neighborhood Policing - a new method of enhancing relationships and preventing crime
