(95.6%), Lowest 8/46 (17.3 %), Mean 30/46 (65.2%). All the exam forms
had exactly the same mean (+/- 0.5%).
Exam No 2: Highest 35/40 (87.5%),
Lowest 10/40 (25.0 %), Mean 24/40 (60.0%). Due to slight difference

Important: These
grades are the "exam grades". They do not include any extra-credit
homework bonuses which will only be added to your average of three
exams after the end of the class.
But if you want to see where
you currently stand, here is an example:
You have a 29/46 raw score
(63% score on the exam - as posted) and you have a 60/80 (or 75% right)
from the extra-credit homeworks. This means your revised
"boosted" grade will be 63 + 0.75 x 3.2 (which is 5% of 63) = 63 + 2.4
= 65.4%.
Another actual example:
Somebody scored 42/46 (91.3%) on the first Exam and had a 70/80 ( or
0.88) from the extra-credit homeworks. This means that the total score
is 91.3 + 91.3 x 0.05 x 0.88 =91.3 + 4.0 = 94.3 which of course
is an A. Then check out the announced grading scale below, and
you will get a rough idea where you currently stand.
