The Standards of Student Conduct summarize the position of the University concerning ethics and honesty.
|
|
Please read the Standards of Student
Conduct and use it as
your guide throughout the course. I take each and every instance of academic
misconduct very seriously.

Once you access and begin a Chapter Quiz, the "clock" will start and you must finish and submit the quiz in the time allotted; you will not be able to access the same quiz more than once. You will have two attempts for each Chapter Quiz and your highest score will be recorded in the Gradebook.
The Chapter
Quizzes are closed book and closed notes. You are allowed
to use a calculator, scrap paper, and the Time Value of Money Interest
Tables: (FV), (FVA),
(PV), (PVA).
The use of any other resource or assistance during chapter quizzes will
be considered a violation of the Student Code of Conduct!
The Homework
Assignments are generally based upon the end-of-chapter problems in the
textbook under the heading "Develop Your Skills --- Problems and Activities."
Solutions to the textbook problems are found in the Chapter Outlines
in Moodle. The Homework Assignments are open book and you are allowed to
use any resource you wish as long as you are the one doing the work.
| ,various computations will be performed, and some information will automatically be transferred to other worksheets. |
Note: You can download an example of an abridged Financial Plan from this link.
• Use the "Your Financial Plan Weblinks" as well as the "Your Financial Plan Exercises" found in the Student Resource section of the Course Companion Website and other sources to research the types of information needed to make financial decisions. Cite specific references and use the worksheets to enter your personal information (do not use real bank account numbers, social security numbers, etc.). Each worksheet should be completed in order to receive maximum credit for your Financial Plan. Some of the topics may not directly apply to you at this time, but you should still complete each worksheet to gain knowledge of the topic area for the future. For the areas that do not apply to you at this time, you can use estimated or forecasted information. Selected parts of your Plan can be based upon information that applies to another family member, friend, etc.. Incomplete areas of your Financial Plan will result in a loss of credit!
• Write an overall synopsis of your financial plan (1,500 word minimum) discussing your long-term financial goals as well as your existing financial resources and obligations. Comment about any financial risks you anticipate and risk management techniques you might consider to address them. Finally, discuss your savings and investment goals and how they coincide with your lifestyle and retirement goals. The summary that you write should be inserted into the last tabbed worksheet of your Personal Financial Plan workbook titled SUMMARY.
• Fill out and electronically "sign" the CERTIFICATION document in the first tabbed worksheet.
• Upload your Personal Financial Plan workbook by the scheduled due date through Moodle. The file that you upload should be the single Excel® workbook containing the completed tabbed spreadsheets.
The Schedule will list the due date for the Financial Plan.
