Proposal for the Embassy Suites
The
PURE Rooms System is our quest to provide cleaner, fresher and
allergy-friendly
rooms to your guests. Our allergy-free process will exceed your guests
expectations and make their stay more enjoyable. The PURE Rooms
process
has been proven to be very effective by hoteliers around the country.
Current
clients include Conrad Miami, Sheraton San Antonio, Doubletree New
The PURE
system
truly does cover the entire room: from the walls to the bedcovers to
the water
and air itself. It also covers the periodic maintenance and filter
replacements
needed to keep a PURE Room certified as allergy-friendly.
The PURE
system
reduces or eliminates biohazards and other irritants from all room
surfaces and
filters them from the air. Bedding, carpeting, walls, furniture, air
conditioning systems, water - practically everything in the room - is
specially
treated to remove contaminants and prevent contaminants from returning.
The end
result of a PURE Room allows guests to breath easier and receive
increased
health and piece of mind.
Allergy
Statistics in
It is
estimated
that 70 million Americans suffer from allergies, 12 million have
asthma, and
another 10 million experience environmental illness or chemical
sensitivity.
That's nearly one in four travelers who experience anything from
sniffles and
watery eyes to acute respiratory distress.
Microscopic
irritants such as pollen, dust, dust mites, mold or fungi, bacteria and
even
chemicals such as chlorine, can prompt an allergic or asthmatic
reaction,
especially when airborne. These contaminants exist everywhere, however
according to the EPA, air in a typical indoor environment can be 70% to
100%
more contaminated than outside air.
PURE Process
1. Clean and sanitize the AHU (Air Handling Unit)
2.
Installation
of a PURE Tea Tree Oil cartridge, a natural disinfectant which keeps
bacterial
and mold from forming in the duct. Installation of an unique PURE
Deodorizer. A
clean unit runs more efficiently, reducing energy cost.
3.
Clean
all soft
surfaces by maximizing the removal of dirt, bacteria and mold. PURE
Shield is a
registered bacteriostatic shield that repels microorganisms that can
cause
illness and distress to guests.
4.
Four-hour
high
ozone shock treatment removes any lingering odors caused by
cigarette/cigar
smoke, mold, animals or almost any unpleasant odors. Guests perceive
the room
as only clean as it smells.
5.
Air
Purification System removes small dangerous airborne particles:
viruses,
bacteria, allergens, mold spores, pollen, fine dust and dust
mites. HEPA
(High Efficiency Particular Air filter) is used in this process to kill
98% of
virus and 94% of mold and fungus.
6.
Micro
fiber
mattress and pillow covers protect guests against dust, dander and dust
mites.
7.
The
Pure
shower head or inline filter with a charcoal activated filter, stops
chlorine
irritation at its source.
An ongoing quarterly Certification Program and training is included with the PURE Process which includes the following re-certification program:
1.
Inspection
of
general room conditions
2.
Cleaning/filter
change in Electronic Filter Unit
3.
Cleaning/sanitizing
& filter change in room AHU
4.
Replacement
of
filter in shower head (twice a year)
5.
Spot-cleaning
of upholstery as needed
6.
Cleaning
of
carpeting throughout room
7.
Update
room
certificate
8.
Provide
additional training for personnel and point of sale personnel
PURE
Process Cost
The initial conversion of the PURE Process is $2000.00 per room.
Return
on
Investment
With the implementation of Pure Rooms into the rooms inventory, the
hotel has a
great potential of bringing in additional revenue and establishing a
loyal
customer base.
The premium on each room will be $20 per room per night, and the cost
to keep
each room Pure is $98 per room per month. If the hotel sells the
Pure
Rooms 50% of the time, we will have as follows:
Monthly
Revenue:
$20/room/night x 5 rooms x 30 nights x 50% occupancy = $1500.00
Monthly Costs:
$98/room/month x 5 rooms = $490.00
Monthly Revenue
= $1,010.00
1 Year Revenue =
$12,120.00
2 Year Revenue =
$
24,240.00
With
the above numbers occuring when the rooms are sold 50% of the time, the
hotel
will achieve in ROI plus a profit of $2,120.00 within the first
year.
Research shows that on average, Pure Rooms are occupied 92% of the
time.
Below is a calculation of revenue with this new percentage.
Monthly Revenue: $20/room/night x 5 rooms x 30 nights x 92% occupancy =
$2,940.00
Monthly Costs:
$98/room/month x 5 rooms = $490.00
Monthly Revenue
= $2,450.00
1 Year Revenue =
$29,400.00
2 Year Revenue =
$58,800.00
With
the above numbers occuring when the rooms are sold 92% of the time, the
hotel
will receive in ROI plus a profit of $2,250.00 within the first five
months.
In
addition to
the incremental revenue, the hotel will have a great opportunity to
gain a
loyal customer base. According to the “Survey of Hotel Patrons
Regarding
Allergy-Friendly Facilities” conducted by the Survey Research Institute
at
Currently,
there are 19 hotels out of 13 hotel brands nationwide that have made a
portion
of their inventory PURE. With more and more people concerned with
health
and interested in living a healthy lifestyle, making some of the
hotel’s
inventory PURE will only benefit the hotel now and continue to benefit
the
hotel for years to come.
