Advice on doing Homework - do each in-chaper
problem at the point it is encountered, if you can't answer it stop and reread
until you can
Do the end
of chapter problems thoroughly, do not skip any and stop if you cannot do one
and review the section from which it comes, including redoing any similar
in-chapter problems. Only if you are unable to do a problem after
reviewing the appropriate examples and sections of the chapter should you resort
to looking in the Answer Book.
You should
complete all problems in a chapter before beginning to read the next
chapter.
Studying for Exams. Begin studying for an
exam about a week and a half prior to the exam. First review the chapters,
and redo the problems. This will take much less time than the first time
through but still will take a few days. In the two days prior to the Exam
redo the problems one more time.
