The Virtual International Business and Economic Sources site, located at UNC-Charlotte, is a general source for doing business internationally on the Web.
A site created by the Michigan State University- Center for International Business Education and Research
(MSU-CIBER) to aid in doing business research.
This is a list of databases to which the FIU Libraries have subscribed. If you are faculty, staff, or a currently enrolled student of FIU, you can access these databases. If you are working off-campus, you will first need to go through the EZProxy.

This is the system which is replacing the SIC (Standard Industrial
Classification) under NAFTA. This site give translations of SIC/NAICS numbers
in both directions.
EDGAR is the database of the SEC housing the electronic reports of
public companies in the U.S. All publicly traded companies are required
to file their 10Ks and other reports here from 1996.

No longer the "American" association, this international organization accredits colleges and schools of business
around the world. This site gives access to brief descriptions of accredited institutions.

This commercial site provides examples of business plans. For a fee, they have products that will modify their example plans or provide a guide to starting a business, as well as other entrepreneurial tools.

It has access to definitions of corporation abreviations (inc., GmbH, etc.) and to news articles and an currency exchange rate calculator. You may search by company, country, or industry. This site provides a very broad source of business information.

This is the official home page of the Datastream company, including a number of aids. Disclosure is a subsidiary of Thomson Financial and Primark. FIU students and faculty using the EZProxy may go to the Global Access database directly for Annual Reports to Stockholders, proxy reports, and 10K Reports. Within Global Access you will find a link to PiranhaWeb, with its searchable database for building profiles of public companies, U.S. and international.
