Employee of the Month August 1997

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our Employee of the Month is Marie Charnel, Senior Library Technical Assistant in charge of stack maintenance at North Campus Library.

Marie has the AS in Microcomputer Applications and, also, a similar degree in Computer Programming Technology from Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. She expects to earn her BS in Social Work from FIU in December, 1997.

According to Lee Keene, Marie's supervisor, she is doing an exceptional job. Such virtues as diligent management of her many tasks, her dependability and punctuality, and her ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students are frequently cited.

The job of maintaining good order in North Campus collections is a vital one that determines whether library users in the North Campus Community are able to find what they are seeking in the print collections. We are therefore very grateful to have Marie Charnel ensuring access to library holdings.
