Employee of the Month December 2002

Employee of the Year - 2002

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Marcy Bonanno is Employee of the Month for December. It is no accident that she has received this distinction twice before.

We have all appreciated Marcy's leadership and skills as Head of the Serials Section and her more recent work in cataloging. However, it is her leadership and expertise in working with program reviews as well as her recent efforts in cataloging that bring her this distinction. The reviews involve preparation and production of collection-analysis spreadsheets that are fundamental to the library's new role in the academic program-review process. This has become an integral part of the reviews being conducted by the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. The spreadsheets compare our collection with those in the libraries supporting peer programs. They require absolute accuracy and consistent formatting, and will eventually be seen by nearly all academic administrators.

In cataloging, she has been responsible for changing over the monthly statistical reports from Lotus to Excel. Marcy took a three-day Excel course from CompUSA to make this possible.
