Employee of the Month July 1999

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our Employee of the Month for July is Mayra Fernandez, Secretary in the University Park Library Administrative Office. Title aside, she functions as financial assistant, handles assignment of faculty and student research carrels,, student payroll, as well as all expense and OCO requisitions issued at University Park

She has brought a superb degree of organization to her job. Except during the most hectic periods, everything is easily located and in its place. In addition, Mayra brings a positive "can do" attitude to any task she undertakes - even, as has often been the case this past year, when she is doing something for the first time. As you can imagine, her skill at keeping track of furniture and many other vendor orders and initiating follow-up, has been invaluable.

Mayra has just received the B.B.A. in Finance and is beginning her graduate work toward the Master's in Public Administration.
