Employee of the Month
June 2003

It is my pleasure to announce that Jan de Carlo, is Employee of the Month for June. Jan joined the staff of the University Libraries in May, 1984, as Staff Assistant in the Director's Office. Although the classification changed, she has been in essentially that position for the past nineteen years. Among her previous assignments was work as a member of President Wolfe's office team.

During her extended tenure in this position, she has been part of many changes that have taken place and the progress that has been made. Particularly indispensable was her work in support of the building construction project and efforts to make the building work during the early months. Since then, she has contributed perhaps more than anyone to the follow-up involved in keeping the building looking fresh. She has also figured significantly in administering arrangements for staff travel, the scheduling of conference rooms, the processing of innumerable personnel forms, and in many other aspects of office and library operation.

Congratulations, Jan, for your second tenure as Employee of the Month!
