Employee of the Month March 1999

This is to announce that Lauren Christos, Library Technical Assistant in the Reader Services Department, North Campus, is Employee of the Month for March. Although she has been with us less than two years, she has proven to be a tremendous asset to reader services at NC.

According to her supervisor, Scott Kass, Lauren " exudes warmth, intelligence, and patience in her work with library users at the reference desk. She is ambitious and is pursuing the MLS. She pursues special projects with great diligence."

She has organized departmental notebooks on electronic reference sources; has actively contributed to library websites, notably that on ready reference; and has undertaken complete revision of the library's serials holdings list. Her initiative is special.

All these things make her the ideal candidate for this recognition. I know you will join me in congratulating her.
