This is to announce that Johnnie Wright is Library Employee of the Month for November.

Johnnie has been with the FIU Libraries since 1973. She is one of the many staff who began as an OPS worker, in this case in the UP Serials Department. Since then, she has risen through the various USPS levels until she is now Senior LTA. Throughout her career with us, she has been in charge of binding preparation and processing at University Park. This includes supervision of temporary binding, ordering of missing pages for periodicals, and responsibility for binding information in LUIS.

While her responsibilities have increased with the size and complexity of serials operations, this area has continued to operate smoothly for the convenience and benefit of the University Community. Her work is described as consistent and accurate, her work output as prodigious, especially during the first quarter of each year. When binding activities are in a lull, Johnnie willingly helps in other areas of serials such as in the creation of holding records.

The quality of work, her productivity, her cooperative and cheerful attitude make her a welcome and valued member of the library staff and a fine candidate for November's Library Employee of the Month.
