The Employee of the Month for September is Angela Obando, Senior Library Technical assistant in the UP Serials Department.
As with many of her colleagues, she first joined the library staff on an OPS basis -- in this case, as a member of the Documents staff in 1989. In July 1993, she became a full-time USPS worker in the Audiovisual Library. September 1994 brought her to the Serials department.
In the words of her supervisor, Marcy Bonanno, "Her work is always of the highest quality. She works quickly, but remains accurate. she is always willing to learn new things and take on additional tasks. I have never seen anyone more pleasant and accomodating. Her duties are varied, but she performs them all with the same degree of excellence. Her output is prodigious. Over-all, Angela is an exceptional employee and I am thankful to have her as a member of our Serials staff."
One of the nice things about our employee of the Month program is that it gives us the opportunity to get to know better members of our staff who do fine work but don't call attention to themselves. Congratulations, Angela!
