Employee of the Month September 2003

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Graciela Morejon, Clerical Supervisor in UP Access Services, Interlibrary Loan Section, is our Employee of the Month for September. Like many other members of our staff, she joined us initially as an OPS employee, starting in 2001. In early 2002, she joined the staff of the Interlibrary Loan Section in charge of lending services, providing FIU materials to other libraries.

From the first week of her employment, she has requested the training needed for additional responsibility. At the present time, she undertakes not only lending services but supervises Intercampus Loans as well. Among her duties and responsibilities has been helping with the implementation of ILLiad. According to her supervisor, "Grace is polite with both staff and patrons, serves as a role model by demonstrating the merits of politeness when dealing with library patrons."
