Remote Sensing

My remote sensing activities have centered in the use of Landsat, SIR and AVIRIS imagery to conduct applied geological studies in geographic remote areas of Mexico. These areas are in general poorly known, so the main goal of my remote sensing studies has been to establish the use of remote sensing tools in the establishment of the geological setting of the areas studied. I have emphsized stratigraphic, including mapping of lithic units, morphotectonics and tectonostratigraphic studies (terrane analysis) of the regions. My approach to exploration geology is that remote sensing of the region under study should be the first, but independent, analysis of a regional study.
