A scientific calculator is required for the course. It does not have to be overly fancy. It must have statistical analysis functions
and linear regression capabilities. It
does not have to be a graphing calculator.

A general familiarity with Microsoft Excel (or any other worthwhile spreadsheet
program) is desirable.

will be based on three exams worth 100 points each, and a final, comprehensive exam worth 200
points. One of the first three exams
will be dropped. The final will not be
dropped. Approximate grading scale A
(90-100), B(75-90), C(60-75), D, 50-60, F (0-49) This scale is approximate. It will not get any worse than this.
