The P.A.T.H.E INITIATIVE was strategically developed to address the despairingly lack of representation of minorities in higher education and professional levels beyond. The aforementioned program is designed to complement a pre-collegiate education, meanwhile instilling and enhancing skills necessary for effective leadership in class, community and life!
Students of participating high schools may involve themselves in the P.A.T.H.E INITIATIVE in one of two ways: the Ad Hoc Program or the Certification Program.
Ad Hoc Program
The Ad Hoc Program allows students the leisure to participate in a variety of workshops at their discretion and in accord with their personal interests and ambitions. The Ad Hoc Program, however, does not provide students an officially recognized and sealed certificate of achievement from the fraternity. In lieu, students are afforded the freedom of selecting workshops of preference at random without meeting a required criterion.
Certification Program
Participants in the Certification Program are involved in workshops that concentrate on both practical knowledge and skills of a particular leadership development area. The workshops will be facilitated primarily by successful and involved college students with exposure to collegiate administrators and alumni of diverse careers and interests. The certification process occurs at 3 tiered track levels for continual student growth. This program has a required minimal criterion in order to attain an official certificate and co-curricular transcript.
As a selected participant in the mentoring program, students will receive an opportunity to hone their knowledge and understanding of an array of developmental topics facilitated by current college students, higher education officials and successful alumni of diverse professions. As an active student participant, you will:
