Birth. (No date or place found). He is also listed as Johannes III only; and his last name as Minutus, Minutius and Minuzzio.

Education. (No information found).

Cardinalate. Created cardinal bishop of Labico (Frascati) in 1080 (1). Consecrated (no information found). On May 4, 1082, he protested in Rome against the use of church funds for war purposes. Participated in the papal election of 1086, in which Pope Victor III was elected. On May 9, 1087, he was in St. Peter's basilica at the enthronement of Pope Victor III. Participated in the papal election of 1088, celebrated in Terracina, in which Pope Urban II was elected. He subscribed a papal bull dated July 8, 1089, addressed to the clergy and and people of Velletri. In September 1089, he was in Melfi. On March 25, 1090, he was in the church of S. Maria in Capella, Rome; and on November 18 of that same year, in Montecassino for consecrations. He was in Salerno in August 1092; and perhaps also on September. 14, 1092. Further documents attest his presence in S. Maria Nuova, Rome, on February 6, and March 1094. On April 5, 1094, he was in Rome.
