Birth. (No date found), Genoa (1). Some sources say that he belonged to the Cibo family. His first name is also listed as Martin, Guasino, or Suasinus; and his last name as Cybo.

Education. He entered the Order of the Cistercians. He was a friend of Bernard de Clairvaux, future saint.

Priesthood. Ordained (no further information found).

Cardinalate. Created cardinal priest of S. Stefano a Monte Celio in a consistory celebrated in 1132. Subscribed papal bulls issued between January 23, 1133 and May 19, 1142. Legate of Pope Innocent II in Denmark. He participated in the Council of Pisa in 1134.

Death. 1143, (no place found). Buried (no information found).

Beatification. He was inscribed as a blessed in the Cistercian and Gallican martyrologies. His feast is celebrated on September 21.
