The Miss FIU Scholarship Pageant was established in Florida International University to provide the women of the university the opportunity to grow as well rounded individuals. Through participation in this program, they experience important societal issues, develop professional and personal skills, and showcase their talents.

The pageant serves as a preliminary for the Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant, where areas of competition include formal interview, talent, evening-wear, lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit, and the onstage question interview. The 2010 Miss FIU Scholarship Pageant will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 in the Graham Center Ballrooms.

The Miss America Organization is a not-for-profit corporation established solely to provide its contestants with the opportunity to enhance their professional and educational goals, and to achieve those pursuits with the assistance of monetary grants and awards. Throughout the years, it has been named one of the nation’s leading attainment programs and the world’s largest scholarship provider for young woman. In 2008, it dispersed approximately $45 million dollars in cash and scholarships.

The 2010 Miss FIU Scholarship Pageant winner, first runner-up and second runner-up will receive scholarships.

If you are interested in competing for the title of Miss FIU 2010, please complete the enclosed application. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a list of important dates (including orientations and dress rehearsals) leading up to the pageant.
