Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Stephanie Lozano is a 20 year old junior pursuing a Nursing degree at Florida International University (FIU). Stephanie has been dancing since the age of three, is now a professional ballerina, and continues to dance for a local dance company, E. Magine Dance Ensemble.

Stephanie’s involvement with FIU and the community is unique. As a freshman attending FIU, she competed in the annual “So You Think You Can Dance?” competition held at the university. As a result of winning the competition she has performed for several campus events such as Dance Marathon, Trail of the Torch, and Relay for Life. This past July, Stephanie joined 46 other contestants at the Miss Florida Pageant in St. Petersburg and represented FIU proudly. Since her crowning she has performed at the Miss Homestead and Miss Miami Scholarship pageants and represented the FIU title at the City of Miami Beach Mayor’s gala. As part of her platform to help children in medical need, Ms. Lozano has collaborated with Miami Children’s Hospital Craniofacial Center (CFC). Currently she volunteers at the CFC on a weekly basis hosting patients and their families who require multiple visits to the hospital during their treatment and recovery. In addition, Stephanie has had the opportunity to participate and support in Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation events such as the annual Hugs and Kisses Fashion Show held at Aventura Mall last April. Always eager to surpass expectations, Stephanie raised over $400 to contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network Miss Florida fund, the official Miss America Organization (MAO) philanthropy.

Stephanie Lozano plans to pursue a Master’s in Anesthesiology in hopes of becoming a nurse anesthetist. Through this profession she hopes to reach out to the community in ways she has yet to imagine and looks forward to committing her lifelong dream of establishing a family, serving others, and being a role model for college women.
