About MLGSO

Mission Statement

The Modern Language Graduate Student Organization was established at Florida International University in 2007 to promote ethnic and cultural diversity amongst college students by sponsoring community/university involved events raising awareness to the different literature, languages, food, traditions, arts, activities, holidays, and  communication mediums celebrated around the world today.

The MLGSO, whose mission is to provide diverse cultures a chance to interact in a comfortable environment of  students, faculty, and staff, is recognized through the Graduate Student Association. A wide range of activities and educational events are offered by the organization each semester through conference, newsletters, social gatherings, and excursions abroad Miami.

The MLGSO partners, members, and faculty advisors come from a variety of academic areas and have extensive experience working directly with student organizations. The organization is in the process of raising funds to benefit active members who desire to attend conferences and lectures abroad that may not have been able to attend without the financial support. The MLGSO is proud of its partners contributions to society and work diligently to promote language diversity in an age of necessary global networking.
