Community Ecology and Climate Change

 

I am broadly interested in discerning how climate change is going to affect ecological community structure. I have examined how habitat loss on coral reefs has affected coral reef community structure and function. I am also interested in how physiological changes within an organism affect trophic interactions and community structure. I use a variety of lab, field, and modeling techniques to answer these questions.

I am currently a member of the Community Ecology lab at Florida International University, led by Dr. Deron Burkepile. I am also collaborating with Dr. John Parker at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland.
