Center Features Physical Activity Aging Network

EATING BETTER & MOVING MORE is a two-step program designed to improve nutrition and physical activity in older adults.

EATING BETTER focuses on improving eating habits. Its purpose is to encourage older adults to eat healthier. MOVING MORE focuses on increasing physical activity by using step counters. They inspire older adults to walk more. It aims to add steps throughout the day to achieve a step goal. It is surprisingly easy and fun to increase walking using step counters. It can help older adults recognize the value of physical activity. Its success will be measured in increased steps and more positive attitudes toward exercise. EATING BETTER AND MOVING MORE at any age enhances physical, emotional, and social well-being.
