Maureen C. Kenny, Ph.D.

Maureen C. Kenny, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in Counselor Education, Department of Educational and Psychological Studies, at Florida International University, Miami, Florida. Dr. Kenny is the Program Director of Parents as Teachers of Safety, a CSA primary prevention program for diverse families in Miami-Dade county. As a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida, Dr. Kenny has extensive experience working with children, including those who have been victims of abuse. She has published research related to child abuse in the top journals in her field including Child Maltreatment, Child Abuse & Neglect: The International Journal, Child Sexual Abuse, Journal of Child & Adolescent Trauma, The Journal of Behavior Analysis of Offender and Victim Treatment and Prevention, and Child Abuse Review Aggression and Violent Behavior.
