CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY
Title:  Job Seeker Motives and Perceptions of Fit

You are being asked to be in a research study.  The investigator of this study is Paul Gregory and he is a graduate student at FIU.  The study will include about 400 people. Your participation will require 30 minutes of your time.

If you decide to be a part of the study we will provide you with website login information to participate via the internet.  You will be asked to complete an online survey.  You will be provided instructions on how to complete the survey online. Please read instructions carefully and follow them closely.

The online survey will be similar to using a computer for work or play.  We do not expect any harm to you by being in the study.  You may skip any questions that you do not want to answer. However, please try to complete all items. If you get upset or feel discomfort during the survey, you may abandon the survey at any time. There is no cost to you as a subject.  You will receive course credit determined by your instructor for being in the study.  Your help will give us information about the job seeking behavior of people interested in careers in the business industry.

Your survey will be identified by a random number not your name.  All of your answers are private and will not be shared with anyone unless required by law.  Your data will be compared to the data of the other subjects.  We will present the research results as a group.  You may ask questions about the study at any time.  If you choose not to participate no one will be upset with you.  You may also choose to stop your participation before your finish the survey.  Even if you do not finish the survey you will get the course credit.
