         PRE-REQUISITE:     Discrete Mathematics (Grade C or better)
         A student needs a good working knowledge of  PROOFS  to succeed in this course.
        OFFICIAL TEXTBOOK:    Graph Theory by Ronald Gould (out of print)
        A copy of this textbook is on 2hr reserve in the UP Library and from the Math Dept.
        It is also available on line at  http://www.mathcs.emory.edu/~rg/  & at my homepage.

             5. Edge and Vertex traversals:          Ch. 5 - Sec. 1, 2, 3, 6
             6.  Planar Graphs:                            Ch. 6 - Sec. 1, 2, 3
             7.  Graph Colorings:                        Ch. 8 - Sec. 1, 2, 5, 6
             8.  Matchings in Graphs:                  Ch. 7 - Sec. 1, 2

            EXAM  &  ATTENDANCE  POLICIES:
            1.  For each test or exam you will be required to bring your student ID and a blue
                 exam booklet   (SIZE: 8"x11" - available from the F.I.U. bookstore).
            2.  No make-up test will be given unless there is a legitimate, verifiable case of illness
                 or emergency.   Officially sanctioned religious holidays may be accommodated
                 provided the instructor is notified in writing during the first week of classes.
            3.   Any misconduct will be reported and dealt with according to the Code of Student
                  Conduct in the Student Handbook. (Available from GC 112.)
            4.   All beepers and cell phones must be silenced in class.  (Vibrate mode is allowed.)
            5.   If you attend less than 60% of the classes you will automatically be assigned an "F".

                 * Note the earlier time.  The final exam will be comprehensive.
