Where to go for Trigonometry help
ONLINE:
1) FIU offers free help over the Internet at night and on weekends when offline
tutors are unavailable. Go to http://connect.fiu.edu/math.
The hours are 2pm-9pm Monday through Thursday, 2pm-8pm on Fridays, and 10am
to 5pm on Sundays (Saturday hours TBA). For the username
and password, use your MyFIU username and password.
2) The Pearson Tutor
Center.
3) The complete
solutions manual to your textbook is online. It will ask you for a username
and password, which I will provide in class. To view the Complete Solutions
manual, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download this free
software, go to www.adobe.com
4) Need graph paper and the stores are closed? Print it out from here.
You will need the Acrobat Reader mentioned above. Polar graph paper is here.
OFFLINE:
1) My Office Hours, which are listed on the syllabus.
2) There is a Study Hall in VH 180 where you can go to work on homework and
there is someone there to help you if needed. The Study Hall is held
Mondays 4pm-8pm
Tuesdays 1pm-3pm
Wednesdays 6pm-9pm
Thursdays 1pm-3pm
Fridays 4pm-7pm
3) The University Learning Center in GL 120. The hours for Fall 2008 are Monday
through Thursday, 9am-8pm, and Fridays 9am-5pm. If you go and there are tutors
available, you will get immediate help. Otherwise, you will have to make an
appointment. The phone number is 305-348-2180. For those of you living closer
to the Biscayne Bay campus, the Math Lab there is in ACI 160 and the phone
number is 305-919-5927.
4) The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services in GC 267. Tutoring is
available to all students, whether you are a minority or not, but by appointment
only. The phone number is 305-348-6425.
