In order to be considered an ACTIVE MEMBER you must:

1. Become a member of CEC by paying yearly dues ($66.00).

2. Attain at least 45 points or higher at the end of each semester.

3. Attend member meetings (2nd Thursday) of each month.

4. Attend club events!

 

*Be involved with SCEC at least two semesters prior to your graduation!*

 

Club Requirements:

· Believe that it is not so much what is poured into the student but what is really planted that counts.

· Believe that teaching children to count is not as important as teaching them what counts.

 

Questions and Answers:

Q: Do I need to fulfill any requirements in order to start attending SCEC meetings?

A:  No, just be a student who is interested in improving the lives of exceptional children and adults in the community.

 

Q: Why should I join SCEC and participate in events, projects, activities, fundraisers, and meetings?

A: Because you are a person who is interested in improving your life as well as the lives of others. A person who wants to give something back and show that you care now and you will care in the future.

 

Yearly Point Goals:

Bronze: 75 Points: Letter of Recommendation from a Professor / Certificate from the President.

Silver: 125 Points: Letter of Recommendation from the Department Chairperson / SCEC gift from the President.

Gold: 175 Points: Letter of Recommendation from the Dean / SCEC plaque from the President and a paid meal at a social event.
