OUR MISSION
To evolve the SDA into
an essential and valuable resource to FIU and to the community through our
roles in: leadership, services, and education. As students of dietetics and
nutrition, we will share information to expand our own knowledge of all the
different pathways our education may lead us, and of the plentiful
opportunities available to us, while being aware of everyone present.
Respecting that everyone has different interests, skills, and personalities, so
as to combine everyone's abilities to impact community and other like minded
groups, while creating lasting relationships within the school of Dietetics and
Nutrition.
OUR OBJECTIVES
We are currently
rebuilding the foundations of this organization. We are making dynamic changes
in the way the club is participating in the school and the community, and
especially in member activity. The basic idea of the organization will be the
same as always; promoting nutrition and overall health, but with each new
member is born new passion and new ideas. We are looking forward to all the
changes to come.
OUR GOALS
Our long term goals
are in line with our mission statement. We would like to provide education to
the community, to be a strong presence on FIU's campus and to gain experience
in the field of Dietetics and Nutrition. Please become a part of this exciting
opportunity for personal and professional growth. There are several leadership
positions available within the Association as well and getting involved is the
first step in creating a bright future. If you would like to join the Student
Dietetic Association, please contact us at mailto:president.sda@gmail.com or
contact our Faculty Advisor, Professor Rivera at mailto:riverat@fiu.edu.
